Salinas lettuce recalled due to contaminated irrigation water

The AP is reporting that Salinas-based Nunes Company, Inc., has issued a voluntary recall of packaged lettuce. The recall was prompted by the results of irrigation water testing, which showed the water to be contaminated with E. coli.
