On a more serious note, for those who, like me, had no idea what fruits came in what season until recently, Sustainable Table has a great site with links to what grows when in most states. (California wins, natch.) Sustainable Table also operates the Eat Well Guide, which is a handy directory of SOLE-foody restaurants and markets by ZIP code — useful for traveling.

Also useful for the zip code thing is LocalHarvest.org: they feature farms, farmers markets, and restaurants who are farmy, too. (To coin a phrase.)

    The twinkies part was funny.
