Don’t try this at home

superbowldiet.jpgSlate’s Andy Bowers has a funny little video about what a meal made up with all the food and beverages advertised during the Super Bowl would comprise, with a beer for every Budweiser commercial, for example.

Needless to say, if you eat all this crap in one sitting regularly — which is not inconceivable for the U.S. televised sports fan — you’ll soon end up a statistic in the public service announcement that also aired last Sunday, for the American Heart Association.

Warning: There is an annoying 30-second “sponsor message” from GE at the start of the video. I hope Madison Avenue figures out soon that requiring people to endure ads to get to what they really want to watch is counterproductive.
