Our friends at Sustainable Table asked me to mention that there will be a live webcast today at 6:30 p.m. EST (3:30 p.m. PST) of the shindig marking the last stop of the Eat Well Guided Tour of America. If you happen to live around Red Hook, NY, it sounds like it’s going to be a blast, with a barbecue of Berkshire pork and lots of treats from New York’s local farmers and artisans, plus live music. Tickets are $20, but farmers get in free, as does anyone who bakes a pie from local, seasonal ingredients. I like that system!
The webcast will feature video clips from the tour, interviews with Laura Pensiero of Chef4Life, Farm Aid representatives, Food & Water Watch’s Patty Lovera, and Sustainable Table’s Diane Hatz, and more. All the details can be found on Sustainable Table’s website.
