“We’re never going to get anywhere if we insist on dividing this country into red fruits and blue fruits!”

by @ 8:38 pm on 17 January 2008.

PETA’s smartest PR move ever may be hiring Free Range Studios, the geniuses behind The Meatrix, to co-produce their latest campaign, "The Road to the Greenhouse."

The go-vegetarian message is a lot more palatable when served up as a mock debate featuring the presidential candidates of both parties reimagined as vegetables  — among them Broccoli Obama, Celery Clinton, John Breadwards, Dennis KuSpinach, Mike Huckelberry, and Fruity Giuliani (who won’t shut up about "7-11"). I could have done with out the tasteless cigar joke, but that’s quibbling.

Bon appetit!

Very cute! I doubt it will put anyone off a good burger, but at least they’ll be entertained.
